Happy Thanksgiving

On Wednesday we started our Thanksgiving celebration with a fun creative project with our Buddies!

We read the amazing Turkey Rescue together.  It was about three turkeys who disguised themselves to help save some chickens from a fox!  The farmer and his wife were so happy that they invited the turkeys for dinner  . . . and they all ate pizza instead of turkeys!!!

Once we have finished reading we chatted with our big buddy on what type of disguise we would use if we were turkeys trying to avoid being eaten for Thanksgiving!  Then the fun began. . .   we cut, we glued and voila.. . .  turkeys in disguise.

On Friday we talked as a class on things we were  thankful for . . . the list was long!
  • our families
  • our friends
  • good food
  • our pets
  • our friends
  • our school
  • clean water to drink
  • the trees
  • our toys
  • nature
  • the clothes we wear
Then we made turkeys to show our thinking . . .

Mrs. Betts and Mrs. Heinrichs are thankful for the students in the classroom who are eager and ready to learn and who show kindness to each other every day.  We hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family and friends.
