Lon Po Po: A Red Riding Hood Story from China

This past week we looked at the fairytale Little Red Riding Hood.  After reading the traditional version, we compared it to the story of Lon Po Po, which is the Chinese version of the story.  Both stories were familiar to many of the students, and we learned that Lon Po Po means "wolf grandma" in Chinese!  The students drew their favourite part of the story.  After they had coloured and outlined them we cut them into three panels and mounted them on red, which is similar to the format used in the Lon Po Po story.

Have you read the story of Little Red Riding Hood?
