Time to Relax!

Today we were so lucky to have Katie (Mrs. Metz's daughter) teach us yoga during our gym time!  We learned that it takes a lot of focus, patience and practice to do yoga.  You have to listen very carefully, calm your body and relax A LOT!  We will be practicing these skills every day in our class. We started out sitting quietly and breathing deeply - this reminded us of our "chime time" that happens every day after recess and lunch.




















Then we learned a few poses . . .












and finally we played a game similar to Simon Says . . . it was called Yogi Says. 

Katie will be visiting us for the month of January and we can't wait to learn more yoga!
