This week we have spent some time learning about Terry Fox and his dream to find a cure for cancer. We read some stories, heard his aunt speak to us, and watched a video about his amazing journey. Today we focused on Terry`s dream and how hard he worked at accomplishing it. Even though he did not accomplish his dream he worked so hard at it! At the end of our discussion we thought about what our dreams are or what we wanted to get better at and then we recorded them on a running shoe. Here is a picture of our work . . .
here are some of our dreams. . . My dream is to: be a scientist, a teacher, an app maker, a volunteer at critter care, a famous soccer player, an artist, win the soccer world cup, do a ``kickup`in Sekido, meet the real Pokemon, get better at rock climbing, to be a lawyer, get better at running so I can run with my dad, and to be a lego builder! Wow! What amazing dreams we have.
I was telling Aaron that I was in grade 2 when Terry Fox was running his Marathon of Hope. How amazing that he is still inspiring boys and girls with his story! ~Lisa
