Yesterday we were treated to a presentation called Faustworks Mask Theatre. In this presentation, the actor changes masks frequently, and uses her body language to change into the character that matches the mask. We watched her go from a shy girl, to a robot, to Elvis, to a ballet dancer. She told us that masks are magic because they are solid objects that appear to change, depending on your body language. The presentation really showed us the importance of body language to communicate your feelings and emotions with others, and we thoroughly enjoyed the presentation!
This ballerina is actually wearing the mask backwards!
She ended with a dancing granny, who moved to the rhythm of our clapping - and when we clapped faster, she moved faster! Have you ever tried on a mask, and used your body language to convey feelings and emotions? What does your body language say about you? |
