Then it was back to class to see whose table group won the most points. It was The Dolphins! They all got gotchas for their team effort in the month of September. We had a short discussion on how they were able to get so many points - again . . . . . team effort!
After recess we were treated to an African Drumming presentation. We heard the performers play many different instruments that are used in African drumming. Some of them look very similar to ones we use here! Do you recognize any?
There were 3 drummers and a dancer. The dancer could do flips both forwards and backwards!
1. We need to speak loudly
2. The audience needs to listen carefully and stay quiet
3. We need to face the camera
4. We need to know what we want to say before we volunteer to share our ideas!
Since we were having such problems connecting with Mrs. Schnare's class we decided to have a buddy reading of our own. We found many places to read and lots of friends to read with!
All of a sudden we heard the Skype going . . . . it was Mrs. Schnare's class! We still couldn't see each other but we could hear each other. We decided to go ahead and share the book despite our problems. It gave us a chance to practice how we should be sitting and listening to the story.
Our day ended with centres and painting the background of our Cheetah pictures!
Whew! We were busy! What did you do today?
