Poetry Presentations!

  On Friday we started poetry presentations.  Mrs. de Jager put us into groups of two or three, and we spent some time practicing a poem of our choice from our poetry binders.  Some of us chose to choral read, while others alternated between sections or lines.  A few groups even tried adding actions to their poems, which helped to engage the audience.  Mrs. Heinrichs was very proud of the way we used our big voices, spoke clearly and read our poems together.  We will do poetry presentations again to help practice our oral language.  Do you ever present a project or idea in front of your class?  How do you feel about public speaking?
