What an exciting day we had yesterday! A group of Grade 10 students from our high school (Elgin Park Secondary) brought pumpkins for us to carve! It was so much fun! They came with big pumpkins and lots of friendly smiles! Some of them were students who used to go here.
We are hard at work! First we had to scoop. . . . digging out those seeds was messy work! Many of us brought bags to save our seeds, Mmmm.... we love roasted pumpkin seeds. Have you ever tried roasting pumpkin seeds?
Our Grade 10 Buddies were awesome. They were so helpful, patient and encouraging.
Thank you Grade 10s for bringing us the pumpkins to carve and letting us take home such wonderful jack-o-lanterns to share with our families!
We like all the different pumpkins your class made. We like how you made one of the pumpkin's eyes into stars. Our class is a little bit jealous that you got to carve pumpkins at school! How long did it take your class to carve so many pumpkins? Did the 10th graders surprise you or was this planned? How many pumpkins did you carve in all? ReplyDeleteI like the pumpkins that you made. everybody had nice costumes. mrs.betts do you do divison everyday. the green lantern costume was my favourite costume.
ReplyDeleteIn kindergarden my two class crived a pumpkin and we had to do the same steps to crive the pumpkin but our teacher bought the punpkin and grade tens weren't with us.From Harani in Mrs carrieres class
