Last week we read the book, "How Are You Peeling," We linked the emotions we read about in the book to our thinking on friendship from the previous week. We discovered that lots of people have a different "perspective" on what makes a good friend. Some of us like friends who make us laugh, some like friends who treat us fairly, some like friends they can depend on. Our perspective of a friend changes depending on who we are.
Next we talked about how sometimes we do or say things and we don't think anything of it but our friend might get upset by it. This led us to a discussion of how people "see" things. We realized that how people see things or how they feel about things depends on their "perspective."
Last Thursday we made "perspectacles" and experimented with trying to see things from another person's perspective! Here we are with the Coyotes (our Grade 2 buddies) wearing our perspectacles.
We are practicing seeing things from another person's perspective!
